Celebrity Waiter Dinner Registration Form 2015
Once again we are hoping to put another family in a home of their own. To help this along, a fundraiser is being held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Selmer Community Center. This will be our annual “Celebrity Waiter” dinner. If you or your organization would like to participate, there are a several ways to do this.
- First – you could be a sponsor for $250.00.
- Second – you could agree to be one of the “Celebrity Waiters. And, of course, we would be thrilled for you to do both.
- Last, but not least – we always need help in the background (set-up, kitchen, grill etc.)
A “Celebrity Waiter” is responsible for inviting 6 people in addition to themselves and their spouse or friend to sit at their table. Most of our tables seat 8. Please try to invite friends or family who are BIG tippers. (A MINIMUM of $25.00 per person to cover our expenses).
The Waiters are also responsible for decorating the table however they wish. (theme)
We will provide round or long tables with white cloth tablecloths as well as plates and silverware. (PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHINA FOR YOUR TABLE.)
Some of the “themes” for tables could be a luau, a formal table, a table decorated with your business logos, a college or high school “tailgate”, hunting themes, seasonal, or just anything. You might ask those you invite to dress accordingly. If you have music (CD’s) to go along with your theme, please bring them. We just want this to be a fun night.
The Waiters will serve a delicious meal of steak (or chicken), salad, baked potato, rolls, dessert, tea and coffee to their table. (Habitat will provide all the food.) We are not selling tickets, but each Waiter will be given a “pass” to give to those you invite since we are limited to the number we can accommodate. TELL YOUR GUESTS TO BE SURE TO BRING THEIR PASS TO GET IN AND PUT THEIR NAME ON IT, BEFORE HANDING IN, TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR DOOR PRIZES.
We are hoping that each person will have a GREAT time and GENEROUSLY TIP their Waiter to include the meal and the great service. Tell your guests that it would be great if they would give Habitat McNairy County at least the amount they would spend if they went to a steak restaurant (like Outback or Longhorn) and paid for a steak dinner. If you or your business has sponsored a table, that will go a long way on the “tipping.”. Checks are payable to McNairy County Habitat for Humanity for House #7..
